The GLAAD Wrap: Kill Your Darlings trailer; Chris Colfer book tour; Love Revolution Remix Competition and more!

Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.

1) Facing Fear, directed by Jason Cohen, will arrive at the Beverly Hills Laemmle Music Hall for one week only starting August 9th. The documentary, starring Matt Boger and Tim Zaal, spotlights a hate crime that occurred 25 years ago involving a former neo-Nazi skinhead and an out gay victim. When the two meet again, they begin the process of forgiveness and an unlikely friendship is created. This moving documentary also just claimed the Audience Award at this year's Outfest. 2) It's here! The first teaser trailer for director John Krokidas'Kill Your Darlings has finally hit the internet. The film focuses on the life of out poet Allen Ginsberg (Daniel Radcliffe), a Columbia University student in 1944, who is introduced to the world of literature and poetry by classmate Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan). Together with two other classmates, the boys lay the foundation for the Beat movement. Check out the trailer below!

3) The much-anticipated sequel to Chris Colfer's children's book The Land of Stories:The Wishing Spell has just arrived in bookstores! The Land of Stories: The Enchantress Returns checks back in with twins Alex and Connor Bailey, whose mother has been abducted by the Enchantress and taken hostage in the Land of Stories. Together, the twins must come up with a way to rescue their mother and thwart the Enchantress' attempt to take over the fairy tale world. Want to meet Chris? Keep your eyes peeled—he may be coming to a city near you!

4) Out actress and talk show host Sarah Gilbert has written a new book sharing small things that even the busiest of us can do to help restore the natural state of our environment. Not only is The Imperfect Environmentalist chock full of environmental improvement tips, Gilbert's book also provides tools to help you invest in your fitness and health without disrupting the daily pattern of life. The Imperfect Environmentalist is currently available for pre-order via Random House Publishing and will hit store shelves on August 13.

5) Out Knoxville musician Levi Kreis recently released "Love Revolution (feat. QBoy)" on his summertime album Imagine Paradise. The song pays homage to a gay teen who, after being present at the Stonewall Riots, dedicates himself to helping those living with HIV and AIDS. Kreis has started the Love Revolution Remix Competition, in which he calls for submissions of his hit single to be placed on the upcoming Love Revolution Remix EP. 100% of the proceeds from the EP will be donated to Positively Living in Knoxville, TN, helping people living with HIV/AIDS.

6) The 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, WY rocked the nation and brought anti-gay hate crimes to the forefront of discussion. Filmmaker Michele Josue, a personal friend of Matthew, is making a documentary about his life through the eyes of friends and family to commemorate the lasting effect Matthew had on those around him, and to emphasize the importance of a zero tolerance policy for anti-LGBT violence and bullying.
